The Ramayana is one of the foundational Sanskrit epics of India, traditionally attributed to the sage Valmiki. It narrates the life of Rama, prince of Ayodhya, whose exile, the abduction of Sita by Ravana, and the great war in Lanka form the heart of the story. Beyond its narrative power, it is a profound meditation on dharma, kingship, devotion, loyalty, and the ideal conduct of human relationships.
