The Mahabharata is one of the two great Sanskrit epics of India, traditionally attributed to the sage Ved Vyasa. It narrates the history of the Kuru dynasty and the conflict between the Pandavas and Kauravas, culminating in the great Kurukshetra war. Beyond warfare, it is a profound meditation on dharma, duty, kingship, justice, fate, and the moral ambiguity of human life. Linked here are the 18 books of the epic, each containing hundreds of chapters.
